First
off, DON'T WEAR COTTON
CLOTHING! Cotton pulls away a large
amount of body heat when it gets wet (even in the summer).
And you WILL be getting wet! On a overcast day with
cool water you could become uncomfortable - and why
be uncomfortable when you're trying to have fun?
Below are the items we recommend to
bring to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable trip.
Items to Have During Whitewater Rafting:
1). A poly bathing suit.
2). Sneakers (sandals in summer) or wet suit booties.
3). A light wool or Polar Fleece undershirt and
long-sleeved pullover (Anorak style).
4). A wind breaker (water resistant type).
5). Sunglasses (on a strap!).
6). A hat (one you won't miss if the "water God's"
steal it).
7). A high rated waterproof sunscreen.
Additional: For trips prior
to June 1st, we strongly recommend the use of
a wetsuit (or drysuit). Cold water and cool overcast
days are common at this time of year. You can rent a
wet suit from us for $20.00/day.
Items For AFTER Whitewater Rafting:
1). A towel.
2). Dry clothes and dry footwear
